A coalition of three non-governmental organizations: IDP Women's Association "Consent", Women's Information Center and Women's Fund "Sukhumi" in partnership with UN Women from January 2021 until March 2025 is implementing a project "IDP and conflict-affected Women and youth for the implementation of the WPS agenda". The project is financially supported by the UK Government's Conflict Stability and Security Fund.
Another work meeting took place on October 11-13 of this year in Ganmukhuri, at the " Pratap's Signature" hotel. The meeting was attended by beneficiary women from the Women's Association "Condent" from target municipalities. A total of 40 women participated from the municipalities of Gori, Kaspi, Kareli, Gardabani IDP communities, Zugdidi, and Tsalenjikha.
The network meeting of women was dedicated to monitoring human security and prioritizing the challenges identified in the communities for advocacy of the issues. Special attention was paid to the localization of the National Action Plan on "Women, Peace, and Security."
The discussions at the meeting primarily focused on the situation in the regions, and the human security monitoring reports were reviewed – what is missing, what has improved, and what requires more attention. The local monitoring of the National Action Plan on "Women, Peace, and Security" was also addressed.
The meeting was facilitated by Iulia Kharaishvili and Marina Pochkhua.
The training was held within the framework of the project “IDP and conflict-affected Women and youth for the implementation of the WPS agenda”. Its priorities include promoting localization of the National Action Plan and ensuring the active participation of women’s organizations, internally displaced and conflict-affected women and youth in processes of local policy planning and budgeting.
