Training - “Human Security – a gender-sensitive monitoring tool“

A coalition of three non-governmental organizations: IDP Women's Association "Consent", Women's Information Center and Women's Fund "Sukhumi" in partnership with UN Women from January 2021 until March 2025 is implementing a project "IDP and conflict-affected Women and youth for the implementation of the WPS agenda". The project is financially supported by the UK Government's Conflict Stability and Security Fund.

A new cycle of trainings on “Human Security – a gender-sensitive monitoring tool“ was held in Zugdidi on the 31st of August, in Gori on the 5th of September and in Tbilisi on the 8th of September. The trainings were attended by 74 women. All the discussed topics were of a great interest for the participants, resulting in their active engagement.

The trainings were led by Marina Pochkhua and Iulia Kharashvili. As a result of the training women leaders were given task to create a Human Security Monitoring document/report, incorporating pillars discussed during the training.

The training was held within the framework of the project “IDP and conflict-affected Women and youth for the implementation of the WPS agenda”. Its priorities include promoting localization of the National Action Plan and ensuring the active participation of women’s organizations, internally displaced and conflict-affected women and youth in processes of local policy planning and budgeting.

In close collaboration with the Central Election Commission, trainings on the new technologies of election processes were held in four locations: Mtskheta, Gori, Zugdidi, and Oni, attended by around 100 Georgian citizens.

The project is financially supported by the UK Government's Conflict Stability and Security Fund.
