The Association of Internally Displaced Women “Consent” closely cooperates with Khobi municipality since 2021.
On the August 10th, 2023 a civil forum was organized in Khobi municipality where main slogan of the event was: “Women’s and Girls’ needs in a non-conflict municipality on the example of Khobi".
The challenges faced by local women and girls were put on the agenda of the representatives of different levels of society and public agencies, everyone was given the opportunity to jointly discuss the ways to solve the existing difficulties, recommendations were also elaborated.
The main topics tackled were: gender-based violence, means of its prevention in Khobi, women’s security and restoration of municipal transport. Future plans were also discussed.
The forum was organized with the support of the German organization “Bread for the World” within the framework of the project: “Strong Women and Youth for Peace”.
